A brief introduction about DJs

Disc Jockeys are those people who entertain the crowd through music. The practice of DJ began in the year 1857. Leon Scott first recorded music without a playback and termed this technique as “Phone autograph”. In 1877, Charles Cross invented Phonograph.  In 1909, "Ray Newby" of California became the World’s first DJ. Phonograph became a passion or a hobby to many people by early 60’s. Gradually Phonograph was taken much seriously and became what is now called as DJ.
Disc Jockeys are bound to different habitats. Few stick to the night clubs, few host radio shows, and few are hired in movies and so on. These days, teenagers love to a become DJ. There are many DJ schools also through which people get trained to become DJs. At present there are 44900000 DJs in the world. In this article I have listed only the Top 5 among them and also their brief Biography.
